Our House and Property!...... A quick tour!
Our home property is named "Wollemi" after the Wollemi National Park which backed on to the property we lived
on in NSW - which was our first home together.
Below is a diagram of our property and the paddocks for you, and an explanation of what is where and how it is all
set out.  We have also taken some photographs of the property for you to see as well.
The grey road is
bitumen, and the pinkish
road is dirt.

Okay, the easiest way to
do this is to go through
the numbers and letters...

A - First Foaling yard
B - Second Foaling yard
C - Stable - two stables,
one huge yard with a
corner shelter
D - The back section of
our neighbours place
that runs through the
middle of the block - we
get to graze that off when
it grows - he hardly uses
it for anything other than to get big machinery in and out to his welding business.
E - The Machinery Yard - where our plow, scarry, harrows, hay baler, auger and trailers are kept.  The little blue
section is the sheep yards and a ramp for them.
F - Just another open section that we stack hay in and have a bonfire pile every time Craig does a cleanup of
fallen branches and dead trees..
G - The crush and little foal yard off the side of the crush.
H - The Round Yard - made out of tyres stacked and interlocked - was featured in The Green Horse in Hoofbeats
a few years ago.

1 - Stallion Paddock 1 - where one boy and girls live full time
2 - Sacrifice Paddock - currently being used as a stallion paddock where one boy and girls live full time
3 - Arena Paddock - handy to the round yard when working horses you can do round yard work and then go
straight out into the big area that is nice and flat and relatively enclosed still....
4 - One of the paddocks we use to sow a crop in to graze off for about 6 weeks of the year.... if that! lol....
5 - Back Paddock - again, its sown to crop and gets grazed off generally, however we are going to hay it this year.
6 - Mare and Foal Paddock - where the girls and babies go out in a big herd - it is also used as a stallion
paddock for a boy and his girls (and kids if they have babies on them at the time)  There is a laneway between 6
and 7 so that the boys can go in that paddock and not be arguing with anyone directly over a fence.
7 - Spare paddock that friends have their horses in at the moment.
8 - End Paddock that we have friends horses in.
9 - Feedlot paddock - at the moment we are using it for the ponies because they are on a bit of a diet and annoy
the daylights out of the bigger horses at every given opportunity!  The Sheepyards directly connect into this one,
so we can use it for sheep and the cow when we want to without any problems.
10 - Pony Club Paddock - where we hold pony club rallies when they are at Minnipa - we alternate between
Minnipa, Elliston and Wudinna - has a 20 x 40 arena marked out, jumps, trot poles, cross country jumps through
the trees etc....This one is sown each year and gets grazed off.
11 - This paddock gets sown each year and grazed off.
12 - Stallion Paddock, with extra height on the fences and electric around the top of it, for new boys or anyone who
may be a little bit of an unknown until we know what they are going to be like respecting fences and whatnot.

Our house is the little square up the very top near the foaling yard - first foaling yard corner post is the back
verandah post.

The laneways make it really easy to shift horses and has taken lots of designing and redesigning and then shifting
fences a million times over the last few years til we are happy with it.
Our house - still in the process of being done up - we
have repainted the front wall cream, which has given it
a great facelift, however we still have the door and
window frames to do.
You can see Craigs lovely boat, the Reef City One - a
22 ft Fishing Trawler - in the front yard there.  We
have a gorgeous big White Cedar Tree that shades
that side of the house and the foaling yard which you
can see in the background.
The above photograph was
taken on the road at the
bottom corner of Paddock 5,
Section D is just to the right of
the corner fence post.
The photo at left is in the
middle along the bottom
fence of Paddock 5.
You can see our lovely crop
jumping out of the ground!
The photo below is taken at
the bottom of the laneway
between Paddocks 4 and 5.
At right, you can see the view from the bottom corner of
Paddock 4, taken from the side road.
Below is Paddock 4 from about half way up the side road.
Below Right you can see Doodlebug and Petal saying hello
to us and Tobi and Caylie in the background, all in the
Sacrifice Paddock which is labelled Paddock 2 in the
diagram at the top of the page.  Another view of it is below
with the old truck body in there.
Above and Right: Paddock 1 - one of the Stallion
Paddocks.  Below Left and Right: Paddock 11
from the front road.
Above Left and Right, Left and Below:  Paddock 10
- the Pony Club Paddock.  All the equipment is
packed away against the trees while the crop grows.
At left is a lovely view of the arena
in the Pony Club Paddock... you
can see the house in the
background which is owned by
one of our neighbours.
Below Left is Paddock 8 with
Paddock 7 on the right of the fence
that is running down the middle of
it.  Taken from inside section F.
Below is the laneway that runs
across the centre of the block, with
paddock 7 on the left, and
paddock 10 on the right.
Above Left and Right, and Left are some views of Paddock
10 with some of the XC Jumps.  Below, Below Left, and
Far Below Right are views of Paddock 11 - these were all
taken in the laneway looking up the block.
Above with the cow in the photo (Chloe the
Cow that is...), is a view of Paddock 2, the
truck you see in the background is in the
laneway, and the horses behind that are in
Paddock 1.  You can see the laneway that
runs up the block and out the front gates
there as well.
Above and Above Right are views of
Paddock 5, these were taken in the laneway
in the centre of the block.  You can see
Section D to the left in the above photo.
The above photo was
taken from Section D
looking across into
Paddock 6 - Gracie
was waiting impatiently
for food....(and a photo
op!)
Left and Below are
views of Paddock 6
from in the laneway.
Below Left is a view of
Paddock 9 taken from
the side road.
Left is a view of Paddock 8 and to the right (the
green section of that image and where the hay

taken from the side road (Mt Damper Road,
which is labelled Minnipa Wootoona Road on
the "
Where Are We" page).
Below you can see Paddock 8 from the bottom
corner - Mt Damper road is visible on the right.
Below Left: Another view of Paddock 8.
Above and Above Right you can
see the dividing fence between
Paddock 6 on the left, and
Paddock 7 on the right of the big
fence post.  There is now a 12 ft
laneway between those two
paddocks.
At Right you can see a view of
Paddock 6 from the back road.
Section D is only a few feet to the
left of the picture.
