| Where is Minnipa??? This is a regularly asked question from prospective buyers... We are 150km west of half way from Sydney to Perth on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. Below are some maps for you to be able to see exactly where we are! The horse transporters go right past our door every couple of days, so our location is no problem as far as picking up horses goes! |
| Below is a close up of the Eyre Peninsula for you... We are right on the highway as you can see. An hour from us is Streaky Bay - a lovely seaside town with great fishing and a fantastic pub which does brilliant meals! The Gawler Ranges are at our back door - they are less than an hour away from us and its a lovely day to do a lap of the park - or make a weekend of it and go camping! We have Pildappa Rock - which is very similar to, and by all accounts from people who have been there, more impressive than Western Australia's "Wave Rock". Being in the heart of Granite Country, there are a lot of wonderful rock formations to visit and see. We are only 3 hours from Port Augusta and Whyalla, 2 1/2 hours from Port Lincoln - all of which have good shopping if you need retail therapy! For anyone coming from Adelaide to visit and see horses, the Ferry runs from Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula to Cowell as marked on the map in red. It cuts a few hours driving off the trip! |
| At left is a map of Minnipa. Our three properties are the red coloured areas, with our 'home base' and office being the bright blue circle. We are located on McNamara Road (on the southern side of the highway) and we welcome visitors at any time. Preferably by appointment to be sure we will be home!
