Millie is a lovely 3/4 Cleveland Bay mare who is broken in,
has done a bit of Pony Club, and is a total sweetheart.

Millie joins us from her home at Riverton with Lizzie Wigney,
who had hopes of Millie being a riding horse and a broodie
for her, however time got away from her and with a young
family - her plans got put on hold!

We are hoping that Millie will be a riding horse and a
broodmare here at Reigate Cleveland Bay & Sporthorse Stud.

She is very nicely put together, has a beautiful temperament
and is certainly fitting in well with the herd here at Reigate!
Millie is an
exceptionally easy
keeper - so it is going
to be a bit of a
struggle to keep the
excess kgs off her!
And NO she is not in
foal in these pics!
Just a bit 'round'! lol
Millie is pictured at right trotting up
behind her mum, Denita!
The plan is to breed Millie to a purebred Cleveland Bay
in the future - most likely via AI, unless a stallion with
different bloodlines to her own becomes available in
South Australia.

There are a couple of candidates in mind for her for
next season.

This year however, she is running with
Roc On, for what
will be a 37.5% Cleveland Bay foal in 2012, and will
either be Buckskin (most likely) or Palomino.

This also allows me to put her into work and she is 'at
home' for me to be able to do this.   I had planned on
putting Roc On over Breeze this season, however
decided that he and Millie would make a good match,
and Breeze will go to Billara Beersheba instead for a
higher percentage CBSH!
With the move to Aldinga on the 28th of December 2011, it was a
pretty hectic time as you could imagine!
Millie travelled down to Aldinga in my float with Winky Wonky
and as you can see she decided she needed most of the float!

Millie investigated their new paddock fairly well and she made
friends with old Bobby, a lovely older Appy gelding who was a
successful show horse and stallion some years ago who lives at
Aldinga on the property we have moved into!
Millie is quite the sticky beak, and is constantly
following Ann, my housemate, around.

Above you can see them both looking at something in
the distance.   I think it was Lyns Donkeys next door -
across the paddock!

Millie and Bobby are quite attached already and one is
never very far from the other!   It is quite cute to see!
