Jess & Peppa
Jess and Peppa are two lovely mares who belong to friends of ours - Jess
belongs to Kathy, and Peppa to Linda.  Jess is the big chestnut, and
Peppa is the bay.
Both were to be put in foal to Roc, however
Jess had trouble in 2007 and failed to get in
foal to Baldy so we and the vet thinks there
is a problem with her rather than the
stallions as there is very little activity if any
going on inside according to the ultrasound.
You will notice the
neck brands on both
girls - they are
obviously both
standardbreds,
however are lovely
examples of the
breed.
We are selective as
to what mares go to
the stallions and
decided that both of
these girls were of
the quality that was
acceptable to breed
to Roc.
Peppa was served and then scanned - however
she had no activity going on in her ovaries either.
This is most frustrating for her owner, and she was
PG'd to see if that would bring her into season -
however that didnt work!
Below you can see Roc having a bit of a run with
Peppa when he first met her.
Above you can see Ashlee on Peppa - she had a ride when Linda was here visiting - all these photos were
taken over the Australia Day Long Weekend in 2009.
