25th & 27th August 2008 Here are some photos of our horses enjoying being out on the green feed! We dont have green here that much, so I am taking advantage of it while I can!

Mandy was having a good old roll in the dirt, and of course had to squirm it all right into her coat! Oh well, it will brush or wash out! They are all losing their winter coats at the moment so are all itchy and thoroughly
enjoy rolling or scratching their coats out on the trees or with each others teeth. Chloe, below left, looks like a hairy yak at the moment. Folly, below, is not as bad.
Left is the rather hairy Caylie, and below left is Salle, also a member of the herd of yaks. Tobi, below, is looking a 'little' more normal, but hes still wooly!
Buck (left) doesnt NEED the green, it will go to that empty space between his ears that houses a brain
in normal horses. He is going to be a little more interesting to ride than usual. Lady, above, is SUPPOSED to be a Grey Paint - well, shes a brown and white paint at the moment! Serri and Gracie would rather rub their heads on the old combine on the other side of the fence than eat - perhaps they had had their fill for the day - which is rather surprising given they are Cleveland Bays! They are ALWAYS eating if they get the chance! Not known to knock back food!
Lady is due to foal in November, and you can see her baby belly (underneath the dirt!). She hasnt lifted her head since going out on the green. She was used to green feed in NSW, something she hasnt seen since arriving here til now!
Gracie (right) and Serri (left) are best of friends. They are always together, and are both big sooks. They come up for cuddles (and probably to see if I have any carrots or a bucket of oats for them!) whenever they see us. Below: Buck decided to go for a bit of a hoon up the paddock, and Serri and Gracie soon followed. You can see by the dust that we
could do with a bit more rain here! This time of year it SHOULD be fairly wet around here. Sadly its not.
No real point to the photograph above - other than to have a record of it being GREEN! You will have noticed in the majority of the shots on our site, its brown and bare. This view is from our back fence looking up the property - you can see the house in the background.
Above, Right and Below left is Serri. It is interesting that she is 3/4 Cleveland Bay, and Gracie who is behind her in the above photo is 1/2 Cleveland Bay, yet Gracie is a heavier built mare. Left is the rather filthy Lady. Far from a 'Lady' is she!
Above right is the gorgeous face of Gracie. She is such a sweetheart of a mare and we are thrilled she is in our herd. Below are Serri and Gracie.
Left and Below is Oscar, a gorgeous pony we have here to do some work with and sell for his owners. He is proving to be a little sweetie!
