Baxter's Faberge
Sire: Fechtor (Imp)
Dam: Northern Waltzer
Height: 16hh

Folly, as she is known at home, is a lovely
looking mare and has a beautiful nature.
She is a natural mum as she proved to us by
adopting a young TB foal we got to hand raise
when she was just a week old -
CM Daddys
Little Secret.
Folly took to this foal as if it were her own, and
had come back into milk for her.
Her stunning looks and her bloodlines were
what we were after for our breeding program,
and we are thrilled with what she has
produced for us so far!
Folly is by Fechtor, a full brother to
Diamond B Sky High, who is perhaps best
known as Chris Chuggs famous
showjumper.

Incidently, one of our other horses,
CM Burnt In Gold, is out of Wilvil
Spellbound, who is by Sky High, making
him Follys cousin.

Folly is extremely protective over 'her'
foals, she is an amazing mother.

Due to an injury to her offside knee as a
youngster, she never had a ridden career
before becoming a broodmare.  The knee
doesnt affect her in the paddock at all
and she passes on beautiful movement to
her foals.

Follys Offspring...

Folly had a number of foals prior to
coming to live with us.  Two of her sons
are now sires standing in the eastern
states - Mein Klute (also known as
Granite Park Mein Klute at times) by
Mosel Klute, and Winter Wizard (also
known as Jirrima Winter Wizard).  Both
are lovely boys and a good example of
what she can produce.
She is also the dam of "Spring Fling"
owned and bred by Yatama Stud in NSW
- a lovely chestnut mare.

She is pictured at left with the filly she
'adopted' in 2003. CM Daddys Little
Secret.
In 2004 we bred her to the gorgeous
Allen Park Bald Eagle and received a gorgeous
Chestnut and White Pinto filly,
CM Anna Karenina,
on the 9th of February 2005.
Anna was sold before she was 24 hours old to a
fantastic home in Victoria who are hoping to use
her for eventing in the future.
Anna has been broken in and is having a rest until
she has grown up a bit more - she was just too
much of a busy body and had to be into everything
to remain unbroken.  She needed something to
stimulate her brain!
You can see her growing nicely on our page -
Updates of Stock Bred and Sold -  and see some of
her owners comments about her.  She is rather
pleased with how shes coming along!

On the 23rd October 2006, Folly had a lovely colt
CM StaaStruck by CM Danzaponastaa, our TB
stallion, he has been sold to a showjumping home
in WA and travelled over there a little while after
weaning.  He didnt have the best trip over there
unfortunately but has bounced back and is growing
nicely by all accounts.
Tadpole, as he was named for a paddock name, is
pictured at right.  Typical of Follys foals, he is quite
fine and will chunk up later - usually 12 - 18 months
old before they start filling out and getting chunky!

We bred Folly back to
Allen Park Bald Eagle for
what we hoped would be a repeat of the last mating
with him.  We were not dissapointed when on the
8th November 2007 she produced a beautiful
chestnut and white colt who we were stuck for a
name for - we know why now!!  At a couple of hours
old we sent through some photos of him during his
birth to a lovely family who had expressed an
interest in seeing the foal as soon as it was born,
and we got an email back with "YES YES YES" and
saying they would be over on Tuesday to view him
in person!  Well, needless to say, he is going to an
eventing home in Pt Augusta, South Australia.
Amelia named him -
CM Gryphon's Flight - Gryph
or Gryphon for a paddock name.  It really suits him!
Gryph is of course pictured here at right... He is a
lovely boy and we really could not have ordered
better!  He is a very flashy little man and will turn
heads when hes fully grown and out there
competing with Amelia on board!

Follys 2009 Foal,
CM Windjammer, is by
CM Oberon Toblerone.  He has been sold to Anne
Davison of Port Lincoln who plans to use him for
Dressage down the track and showing.

Folly is has been served by
CM Bedford Forrest for
a 2010 (born in 2011) season foal, who has
already been sold to Killarnie Stud in NSW.
