CM Cast In Bronze
DOB: 6-12-2001
Sire: Jaberoo Silver Dancer (Taffy)
Dam: Buckskin Appy Miniature
Height: 89cm

My nickname is Denny, because I'm a
little Buckskin and do a damn good
impression of the Man From Snowy
River's horse when I am being a brat
and don't want to be caught!
I'm cute and I keep hoping that my humans find me cute enough to just
deal with the fact that I don't always want to get caught and washed or
whatever on earth they want to do to me at times. They say its for my
own good, but phhhhht, I'm small but I aint dumb!!  Nope, there is NO
WAY that worming paste can be good for me.... Nope, no one is going
to convince me of that one! So dont even try that one folks!
I was apparently 'gelded' a while back - not sure what thats supposed
to mean but it doesnt seem to have changed things... Im still a ladies
man (well at least I think I am! lol), I love those mares... even if they are
all a LOT bigger than me! Mum and Dad say Im a great teaser...
I occasionally have a kid or two come up to ride me - I give them a hard
time to start with but once they realise who the boss is, we have a great
time!
As you can
see, I dont
scrub up too
bad when I
have to...
Though I much
prefer to just be
a 'scrubber' in
the paddock all
hairy and feral!
Mum and Dad
insist on taking
me to the odd
show or two...
See, I even
typed up my
OWN page...
well, ok with
a little help,
cos I dont
have
fingers....
I'm the Wudinna SES Mounted Search and Rescue
Teams Mascot.  Click my photo to see more information
about my role with the SES!
Dont know that I REALLY like it all that much, but I
put up with it cos I get to see NEW WOMEN!
The photo of me here on the right with the lovely
older gentleman is my mums Grandpa, Jack
Williams who was 86 when this photo was taken.
He was a lovely old man who knew a LOT about
horses. He taught Mum pretty much everything she
knows...
Mum and Dad sometimes take me down to the old
folks home to visit... which is great, I get pats and
bits of bread off the residents and just love the
attention... Only bit I dont like is when they take a
lamb down as well, it means some of the attention
goes on that and not me.
At right you can see me and my no. 1 girlfriend
"Honey" - a gorgeous welsh pony mare, galloping
off into the distance at
Perlubie Beach.
If you click on the link above you will see all the pics
from that day, but here are a couple for you to see if
you dont have time to go to the other pages.
But I supervised and told them what to say and made sure they didnt lie and say I LOVE wormers... that would be
just too much.
In June 2010, Mum and Dad decided I was sitting
in the paddock doing nothing, and may as well
make myself useful (and I thought looking cute and
keeping all the mares in line was useful!!)... and I
am on holidays with Sharon and her two sons,
Ryan (who is on me with the cowboy vest on) and
Riven in Whyalla.  Above: Auntie Jess trying to
make me smile - it didnt work....
Ryan is a pretty cool kid, and
he thinks Im pretty special too
I think from everything he was
saying about me when Mum
and Auntie Jess were there
with me.
I reckon I am going to get
along just fine with Ryan and
Riven - though Riven was a bit
annoyed that he didnt get the
first ride... Im sure he wont
miss out on his "Denny Time"
though, Sharon will make sure
that the boys both get a fair go
with me.  Hang on, this sounds
like work.... Hmmmmmm
At left you can see Riven on me... He was pretty pleased when
he got to have a ride.
You can see Sharons beautiful big dog Galumphen (sp?) with
her below.  Hes nearly as big as me, and Im sure if I get a
chance, I can put him under the house like I used
to do to my old mate, Frog, who sadly died in June
2010 from Cancer.  Sharon will keep mum and
dad updated with what I am doing and share
photos for them to post here on my page!
