Winky Wonky Donkey

For years, I have been wanting a Donkey... Finally, in August 2011, my dream came true and a lovely fellow whose name was Jack, and has since been changed to Winky Wonky Donkey (anyone who has seen the Winky Wonky Donkey song will understand!! lol) which suits him perfectly. Winky's age is unknown - though he came from the Whyalla Fauna and Reptile Park originally which closed down in the first couple of years of the new century! He was living with Jess Kyle and her family in Whyalla from the closure of the Fauna Park and keeping their colt and another horse or two company. Winky is a very affectionate fellow who loves attention and has fit right in here at CM Sporthorses! He is currently in with geldings and youngsters, and will also be keeping the stallions company when they dont have girls in with them! He lapped up the attention that young Sarah gave him - and was very obliging to give her a ride and let her lead him around the place.
Winky is brilliant for the farrier, to worm and do anything with. He is a true joy to have around.
Winky, at some point, has gotten overweight, and apparently with Donkeys when they get too fat and their necks fall over and their butts go 'saggy' - they do not get their 'figures' back as the weight comes off. He also has a chunk out of one ear - so he really is a true Winky Wonky Donkey! Though he is not stinky, and he is not limpy or cranky as the song goes! Some of the horses thought he was a bit odd at first, but soon got over it and he is now well and truly one of the herd.

The move to Aldinga went really well for Winky... He was in the float with Millie, who insisted on hogging all of the room - however he didnt seem to mind as he had his revenge when we arrived - he was allowed out to roam - and she wasnt! At least, not for a day or so! He has settled in really well and is a bit of a local attraction!
