Sad to say - but I am selling up and
moving....  CM Sporthorses is NOT
ceasing to exist - just shifting
location!
Please visit the
House & Property For Sale
page for further information.

I love the area and the people, but
this is something I need to do.

great year in 2010 - he was

Amelia is going great guns with

CM Sporthorses at the 2011
Royal Melbourne Horse Show

On the 20th January, CM Sporthorses & Lyndsworth
Lodge took on the Victorians at the RMHS and did
VERY well!

CM Independant Miss:
Reserve Champion CBSH
1st - Best Presented CB or CBSH
1st - Led CBSH Filly or Mare Any Age
4th Led WB Yearling Filly

CM Sorta Sassy:
3rd - Best Presented CB or CBSH
4th - Led CBSH Filly or Mare Any Age

We would like to thank Kath Hurrell & Nikki Chadburn
from Lyndsworth Lodge for all their hard work and
effort with CM Independant Miss.  You ladies are
amazing!
We would also like to thank Arlene Sheen for looking
after CM Sorta Sassy, and Debbie Fraser-Howe (who
owns CM Anna Karenina) for running Sassy out at her
very FIRST show!
..............
..............
Sadly, on the 6th of March 2011, we lost
CM Bedford Forrest to a twisted bowel.   He was
an amazing horse, with such a fantastic
temperament, gorgeous looks and so easy to do
anything with. We are thankful that we have three
mares of our own who are in foal to him at the
moment -
Lady Tuthaside, Donna Del Lago and
She's Got Ego (Donna and Ego are on lease to
us).   We are hoping that they deliver big strong
healthy foals to follow in his footsteps.
CM Oberon Toblerone is finally under saddle!!!
Yes, ok, so it has only taken us three years to get
around to finishing off breaking him in... Oh well, we
cant rush these things! lol...
In true CB & Tobi style, he came in after a couple of
years break and had a lunge session, and the next
night was backed for the first time.
Breaking in a 13 yr old stallion - THIS stallion in
particular - has not been that difficult!  He takes
everything in his stride and just cruises along with
whatever is asked of him!
..............
On the 20th of March 2011,
Morphett Vale Riding Club Breed &
Encourage show was held.
CM Independant Miss (right) was
there, along with
CM Desert Dreams (left).
Indy took out Supreme WB and
Supreme CB, and was 4th in line
for Supreme of the day.
Dreamy received a first, a second
and a Reserve Champion at what
was his FIRST show!

a difference - rather 'late' 2010 season foals!!

On the 10th of April 2011, we had a rather handsome
young fellow born -
CM Moonshadow - by CM
Bedford Forrest and out of Lady Tuthaside.   He is an
Overo (solid Bay except for the blaze and one blue
eye) colt who will be heading to NSW to Sue and
Steve of Killarnie Stud, Moruya, when he is weaned!

The 15th of May 2011 saw a gorgeous Buckskin filly
by Billara Beersheba out of Golden Sands born -
Sundance - she is a more than just a bit cute!
.
2011 Dilutes Australia Youngstock Show - 7th August - Roseworthy
The Billara Beersheba Babies did us proud!!
How often do you get 5 - yes FIVE - youngsters by the one stallion in
the one ring at a show??
A briliant effort by all!  See the page for the results and a lot of pics!

BIG Changes at CM Sporthorses....
And yes, the rumour mill has been going flat out, as it does....
Hopefully this little note will put a halt to a few things!
The Shell & Craig team HAVE parted ways permanantly.
So what does this mean for CM Sporthorses and
years of collecting the bloodlines and breeding?
Very little hopefully!
It has been mutually agreed that Shell is
retaining CM Sporthorses, and has gone
back to her maiden name.
Billara Beersheba is the resident stallion
at CM Sporthorses, and the Cleveland
Bay Sporthorse girls are staying too!
Craig is starting his own venture,
Highrail Sporthorses, and has
CM Oberon Toblerone along with
Lachwood Titanium and a number of mares that suit those two stallions!
After such a long time together, and always having worked well together with the horses, Shell and
Craig will still swap services on occasions if it suits the breeding path both want to take, and remain
friends.    Craig is staying in Minnipa for the time being - on the two properties on the other side of
town, while Shell is in her Grandparents home and is retaining the two properties there.
Shell and Craig wish each other all the best with their future endeavours, and hope to continue
providing quality Sporthorses for their clients!

2011 Royal Adelaide Show Breed Day - 20th August - Wayville Showgrounds
CM Independant Miss - 1st 2yr old and under WB Filly - Reserve Champion WB Female
CM Desert Dreams - 2nd 2yr old and under WB Gelding
Sporthorses....

New 'family' members '
Winky-Wonky' (the
donkey - formerly known as Jack) and
'
Frank' (racing name of Yanac (not sure on
spelling!) have joined us!
Winky-Wonky is a pet, though he may find
himself in a pony harness and hooked up
to the jinker at some point!
Frank, wanted to be a Sunday Driver, not a
racehorse, so he is going to be a harness
horse for me when he has settled in and
got used to the routine here at CM
Sporthorses!
.
August 2011 has been a busy month at
CM Sporthorses!   We will try to bring you
a new page as each month goes by - and
if we get a chance to update during the
month - we will just add to the page!
Spring is in the air - the lambs have
started dropping!

The above link will take you to an article that I wrote a couple of years ago now, and it was printed in Horsewyse
Magazine, as well as being on a couple of websites.
If you have any links you would like to share or images, please feel free to send them to me and I will pop them
up there!

September 2011

at CM
Sporthorses!
We will continue
to update the
page as the
month goes by!

Updated:
25th September
.
The first one for the 2011 season here at CM
Sporthorses has been born!
Killarnie Breeze presented us with a lovely big Bay and
White Tobiano Colt on the 24th of September 2011 by
Allen Park Braveheart!   CM Shall We Dance (Legacy)
has been sold already and named by his new owner,
Leonie Dean who has high hopes for him in the dressage
arena!!
.

She is just gorgeous and is going
to be a lovely big girl!

She has been sold and has been
named CM She's All That (Amira
as a paddock name).
Congratulations Rebecca Paech!!

HERE to see her!

it was first thing!!) by the birth of a foal!

Roc On and CM Commanding Miss
have produced a beautiful buckskin filly!

We are thrilled with this little girl and she
is a lovely strong healthy filly who is
already out in the paddock - though that
is mainly due to her possibly drowning if
she was left in the foaling yard!!   Its a bit
boggy at the moment!
October 2011
A rather soggy start to
October has been had
here on the Eyre
Peninsula, however we
are not complaining as
that brings some more
feed up and finishes off
the farmers crops nicely!

Halfway through October
and we have 3 new foals
for the month!
.
On the 17th of
October, Billara
Beersheba and CM
Killarnie Ceildih
produced a beautiful
bay filly -
CM Ciarra Ashlinn.

Congratulations to
Bianca Payne - your
baby is FINALLY
here!
.
Exciting News!!!

CM Sporthorses is relocating to ALDINGA, South Australia in the not too distant future!
When I have a moving date to share with you - I will pop it up here along with the location!
lined up for Billara Beersheba who wants to get out and do some dressage on him!
Roc On will also be getting out and about as much as possible!
.
last ever foal for CM Sporthorses
was born.
A lovely colt by CM Bedford Forrest out
of Donna Del Lago.
CM Legado (which translates from
Legacy - very fitting being a Forrest baby
the end of CM Sporthorses) has been
bought by Shell, and will be remaining
with her at
Reigate Cleveland Bay &
Sporthorse Stud.
.

Yes, I am speaking of:

CM Ciarra Ashlinn
CM Shall We Dance
& CM Roc A Billie

The other cheeky minx -
CM She's All That - has also had her
page updated with a few more
photographs!
