Ariella, or Ellie as she is known at home, is exactly what I wanted to breed... After spending
years looking for that perfect horse for me - solid, of sound mind and body and affordable - I
couldnt find it... So I bred it instead! She is the reason I am hooked on the Cleveland Bay.
This 3 yr old filly has been the source of a lot of laughs and tears over her short life so far, and
I am sure will continue to do so. She has been successful in the halter classes at shows so
far, and should continue in the same manner as she is getting bigger and stronger every
Adelaide Show in 2001 gaining a third place in her class. Her rivals who placed above her
were her two half sisters, by the same stallion who were 4 months older than her. She was in
very good company.
We have backed her and done very little with her since, as she is still such a youngster, but
considering the way she jumps the 4 and 5 foot gates and fences, she is destined to be a
jumper! I only have to find someone gamer than I to take her further in this field when the time
is right for her!
She has been bred this year to our Thoroughbred Stallion CM Danzaponastaa Its looking like
she is in foal and will be due about the 16th of February 2005She is a lovely solid filly who
should produce both lovely foals and have a great career ahead of her, no matter what path
we take with her.
She has already shown that she loves chasing cattle (much to the neighbours disgust!) and
can round them up no problems! However we would prefer it was when we asked her to!!

Ellie, at just 7 weeks old, you can see how powerful she was going to be then... and above
right at 2 yrs 11 months in November 03, she is positively massive!

Sadly, on October 25th 2004, Ellies young life ended when she broke her jaw as a result of a
Fly free my little angel... you are sadly missed.
