& His Wives!

I sat out in the paddock
and took some pics of Bill
and his 'wives'... This was
NOT an easy thing to do
as they were constantly
snuffling through the
camera bag, my hair, the
camera in my hands and
generally being pests!  Bill
is probably the biggest
smoocher in the paddock!
I had to keep hunting them
away from me, snap a few
shots, and then repeat the
process as they kept
coming back!
Top Left is the gorgeous
Bill, Above and Left are Bill
and Maj having a little
sook session.
Below Left is Maj, and
Below Right is Rossida
who is the first mare due
for 2008.  She is due
August 31st.
Left is Rossidas lovely face... She is a sweet
girl to deal with in every way.
Below is Salle.
Salle and Rossida are the two 'water babies'
in that paddock.  At any given time you can
almost guarantee that one of them will have
a leg in the trough and be trying to empty it!
You can really
see Majs
dapples at the
moment.
Actually, all the
horses who tend
to dapple up are
really showing it
through right
now.  Obviously
they are all in
excellent health
and are getting
what they need
from their feed!
Rossida is
standing
awkwardly in the
photo at right.
At right you can see Majs 'stain'
down her hind leg quite well.
Its an unusual marking and will
be interesting to see if she
passes any 'staining' on to her
foals!
Salle (Below) has a lovely soft
face on her and a kind eye....
Rossida is lovely and dappled at
the moment too... She really has
a decent baby belly happening
at the moment!
Maj and Bill are pretty much
joined at the hip and go
everywhere together.  
Rossida hangs out on her
own a fair bit, and Salle
hangs out with Maj and Bill.
Old Baldy is coping as well as can
be expected with the heat we have
had lately... He doesnt deal with
summer very well.  His companion
at the moment is Lady who is in
foal to Treena Boom Deck (QH).
They are both on two hard feeds a
day at the moment and we thought
they may as well share each others
company seeing as they are both
lovely gentle souls.
