Rest In Peace Old Man.....
1st June 2008

"You lived your life and it was time to say
goodbye to you tonight.

You were a beautiful old man, so gentle with
your mares, brilliant under saddle and in
harness, and put up with so much from your
foals who lived in the paddock with you a
good portion of the time.

Today you spent the day eating your chaff and
gumnuts and having a snooze with your son
Gryphon and his little paddock mate Jenni.

You have some wonderful offspring out there,
and we are expecting more from you again
this foaling season, as are your owners from
their own mares.

Heres hoping you leave us with a little carbon
copy of yourself.

We loved you so much, and as if you were our
own, you spent your time between our place
and your owners in the last few years.

Your final resting place is in the front paddock
where you spent time grazing with your girls.
'Your' girls greeted you as you walked past them for the last time tonight, and Tobi and Bill, our other two
stallions, along with Denny who challenged you at every given opportunity (even though he is a mini gelding
and only comes up to your elbows), Buck and the other mares all watched you walk slowly past them up the
laneways and were quietly nickering to you as if to say goodbye.  No one challenged you tonight...

I said goodbye to you before you wandered off with Craig into the night, Craig had a chat to you on the way
and discussed with you what we would name one of your last born sons, particularly if you pass on the black
and the tobiano gene to him.

Goodbye old man, you will be greatly missed and never forgotten." - by Shell Coburn, CM Sporthorses

Allen Park Bald Eagle was a huge part of Allen Park Stud's breeding program for many many years.
Aged 32 1/2 yrs old when put to sleep in June 2008, he sired many foals for Allen Park Stud and in the
last couple of years, for CM Sporthorses who borrowed him part of the year.
He was by a Station Bred Stockhorse stallion out of a TB mare, and though not overly tall, was athletic,
had a fantastic temperament and the ability to do anything asked of him.
