On the 14th of September 2009, we took some  more photographs of the herds out in the paddocks.
We hope you enjoy the images!
Above: BlackJack the Donkey, with AP Gold Nugget - a
buckskin and white Colt.  These two are best of buddies and
spend the day grazing together, and playing rough!
Above and Below:  The gorgeous
Possum Dixon (TB) with her Sept. 2009
born foal by Spurvolt Tu Chicahn.
With Spring well and truely in the air, the geese
had to get in on it too and there are at least two
lots of babies so far and a couple of nests with
more eggs in them.
They wander around the farm wherever they
please.
Some of the mares who are heavily in foal to
Cherokee are running with him at the moment.
A couple of the mares have already
foaled down as you can see.
There are a number of mares not far off
foaling, so it will be interesting to see
what we get this year!
This Appy/Station Bred
mare has very unusual
markings.

We are looking forward
to seeing what she
produces to Cherokee.

We also have some
lovely roan mares in our
herd.
The mares are all looking great at the moment
with the pasture that they are on providing
everything they need.  It is a mixture of medic,
lovegrass, barley grass and various other native
grasses that have come up.
Cherokee is quite happy living with his girls and
their foals.
He is a great stallion to have in the paddock with
them as he is also quite protective.
AP Sioux (Right and Below with the blaze) is a little way off
dropping her foal, however AP Shoshone (By AP Bald Eagle)
isnt too far off by the looks of her.
