The 13th of May 2009 was a gorgeous day, so we decided to go
take some shots of the 'kids' - we cant really call them 'foals' as
Jenni who is in the paddock is 16 months old, and Dusty is 8
months... so they are known as 'the kids'!
Above you can see Wings and
Sassy having a little canter...
Left is Sassy, Wings, Dusty behind
Wings and bringing up the rear is
Jenni.
The four girls are all by Billara
Beersheba - Jenni, Dusty and
Wings are out of Thoroughbred
mares, and Sassy is out of the
Welsh x Arabian mare.
All are lovely types!
Above left is Sassy, and Above are Sassy,
Jenni and at the back, Wings.

Left you can see Sassy and Jenni, and Below
you can see the gorgeous Wings.
Left: Jenni - with that 'paint
dribble' down her face!  Its
quite a lovely marking.
Below: Wings
Far Left - Sassy (CM Sorta
Sassy), and Left - Jenni (CM
Commanding Miss).
Below: Sassy and Wings (CM
Mighty Wings).
We are really pleased with
how all the kids are growing at
the moment.  Sassy needs to
broaden up through the chest a
little - however we are not
concerned as she has just had
a bit of a growth spurt and
has just finished going UP and
lengthways, she will go OUT
soon enough!

Wings has gone a little butt high
at the moment but her chest has
widened a little more too.

Below you can see Sassy and
Wings trotting through the trees,
and below right they are just
chilling out for a moment!
Far Left and Left you can see Dusty
(CM Silver Serenade).
She is going grey under her foal coat
up around her flanks, and you can see
a few grey hairs under the hair on her
face - however the face and neck are
coming through quite dark at the
moment.
She will be interesting to watch and
see how she greys out.  Her legs are
quite dark as well at the moment.
She has that little bit of white on her
top lip there which is quite cute.
There has to be a 'butt
shot' once in a while
doesnt there??

The girls all lined up
beautifully for me - though
Dusty could have hopped
in between Jenni and
Wings to make the height
order match up properly!
From Left to Right:
Sassy, Wings, Jenni and
Dusty.
Lovely bay backsides!!!
Below:
Jenni, Sassy, Wings and
Dusty.
Even though the girls are all sporting
their winter coats, they are nice and
shiney which is lovely to see.
Thankfully, Dusty is starting to look a little
more 'normal' than in the last lot of
photographs I took of the kids.... She has
started to thicken up again and isnt quite as
gangly as she was a few weeks ago.

Below Left and Below:  Jenni is looking really
lovely at the moment.  She is 16 months old
now and has a lovely disposition.
After having said they are shiney in
their winter coats - Dusty goes and
shows off her 'blah' looking side - after
having a dust bath!!! (well she IS
named Dusty!!!)
Sassy having a lovely canter...
She is such a pretty little girl, and
we cant wait to see her mature.
She is exactly what we were
hoping we would get from Cutie
and Bill - we most certainly are
NOT disappointed with the result.
She has a bit of a hay belly on her
at the moment - the kids have a
big bale of hay parked in their
paddock and she has decided
she has to eat it all at once....
Wings is growing
beautifully as well.
She is such a sweet
girl, and is inquisitive.
Despite Sassy
bossing her around
quite a bit, she is
quite protective over
her if Jenni or Dusty
pin their ears back at
her for some reason.
We love just sitting
and watching the way
they interact with
each other and work
out their pecking
orders.
Wings has really
lovely movement and
we would love to see
her go to a
competition home -
however if she
doesnt sell, we will
not be at all disappointed as we
really are in two minds as to whether
to part with her or not.
We made the decision to keep
Jenni last year and have not
regretted it.  We are constantly
being asked if we have anything
available that is already started and
going - we have to keep saying 'no
we dont' as all our babies tend to be
sold before they get a chance to
grow up and get to that stage!
We are at this stage considering
taking Dusty and Wings off the
market and waiting until they are
older and going under saddle before
readvertising them.  Their prices of
course will reflect the extra work that
has been done with them.
So if you want a great price - get in
now before we make some changes!
