CM Gryphon's
Flight & CM
Commanding Miss
1st October 2008
Here are a few shots of
Gryph and Jenni - they are
hairy mammoths at the
moment still, Gryphs coat is
shifting by the handful, but
Jennis is only just starting to
move - both of them look
extremely unloved and
disgraceful at the moment
with hair everywhere and
particularly Jenni with her
very unladylike beard!
Oh well, give it a couple of
weeks and it will all be gone
and she will look sleek!
Above - the normally very mild mannered and polite CM Killarnie Ceilidh is
telling Gryph off.  Gryph did the 'Im a baby, dont hurt me' thing... having
watched them, he deserved the grumpy look... He has taken to licking other
horses and well, Ceilidh did NOT appreciate it as you can clearly see!
Below left is the tuft of hair under where Gryphs girth would go... It doesnt want
to shift... Below right, you can see his lovely long tail and a couple of white dots
that have come up on his hind butt cheek and down his leg a little...
You can see the 'roan' patches on
Gryphs head - a huge one above his
eye and his cheek is going the same
way too!  this has only come up in the last 6 months and is growing.  One of
Gryphs half sisters has patches like this all over her body as well.
Obviously it comes from mum, Baxters Faberge, as she also has a couple of
patches like this too.
Just what Gryph was
thinking or trying to do in
the photo at left is
anyones guess.
He is a strange, strange
child!
We certainly will
miss the little guy
- he leaves home
to go to his new
mum, Amelia, on
Monday the 5th
October.
He is so funny
and such a joy to
have around!  We
wish Amelia all
the best with him
and are sure we
will get
regular updates on him and will
get to see him out and about
down the track!
Right and below is the
gorgeous Jenni - she is such a
sweet young lady and we are
really
pleased that we have decided to keep
her for ourselves!  She is so like her
mum which is just perfect - her mum,
Commanding View is a gorgeous girl
and has the most lovely temperament.
With her getting older (shes now 20
yrs old), we really wanted to keep one
of her babies to 'replace' her in the
broodie herd down the track.  Being
that Jenni is Bills first foal makes her
all that more special to us!  She is
VERY hairy at the moment though!
Jenni will be joining Rossida and Dusty in the paddock when Gryph leaves.  She
may as well play with her little sister for a while.
